Love of Leaves Bundle paired with the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper is one of my favorite Fall Combinations of all the Fall offerings in the Mini Catalog! These plaids are amazing for many purposes and designs but these stitched leaves in the Love of Leaves Die set are exquisite!!!

Love of Leaves-1This is the first card I made during this week’s FB Live. For this card I used Thick Whisper White Cardstock for my card base then ran a piece of Crumb Cake through the embossing machine using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I cut four different patterns of plaid from the Plaid Tidings DSP and positioned them on the Bumble Bee Cardstock (measurements below) then adhered this to the Crumb Cake piece. I die cut two leaves in Cinnamon Cider using the dies from the Love of Leaves Bundle. I placed a dimensional on the back of the largest leaf and attached to the Bumble Bee/Plaid piece. I stamped my sentiment on Whisper White then wrapped a piece of Embroidered Ribbon across the front of the Crumb Cake. I placed dimensionals on the back of the sentiment and centered it on the ribbon. I placed a dimensional on the side of my leaf and attached it to my sentiment. I glued the card front to my card base and then later after the FB Live was over I added the acorn to really finish the card! Love this card so much!

Love of Leaves-2

For this card I used a Pretty Peacock Card base. I used a piece of Whisper White and Plaid Tidings for my card front. I cut a piece of Pretty Peacock for the focal piece and die cut three leaves from it. I popped this piece of Pretty Peacock up with dimensionals then used a dimensional on the back side of the leaves placing it to one side so that the leaf sticks to the Plaid DSP but off to the side of the cut out. I stamped my sentiment using Pretty Peacock ink and punched it out using the Classic Label Punch. I finished it by adding three Iridescent Pearls. Such a pretty and simple card that really shows off the dies and the plaid paper!

Love of Leaves-3

I received a swap card from someone earlier in the year with this design but she used the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set with the beautiful hibiscus flower. I got the idea that I could use this same design with these beautiful leaves and stamping. I love how it turned out! The best part is that it really was not hard to do at all either! I had already created the card with the Blushing Bride Background so I created the a card on my live using the Pretty Peacock card base then layered Pool Party and Plaid Tidings DSP. On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped leaves using Pretty Peacock, Pear Pizzaz and Pool Party ink pads. For the largest leaf I used second generation ink. I then used my trimmer to cut a 1 1/4″ strip. I then cut a 1 1/4″ piece where the “hello” sentiment was stamped then with the second strip which is on the right, I cut a 1 3/4″ section from the bottom of the strip. I had already cut a piece of Pool Party and ran it through the Greenery Embossing Folder before putting the Whisper White stamped pieces back together with equal spacing between them. I glued them on the piece of Pool party making sure that the outer margins were the same but also making sure the stamped designs aligned. I put dimensionals on the back of the piece of pool party before placing it on the front of my card front which I then glued to the card base. Someone during the live said that it looked like one of the floating framed wall hanging arrangements. I took that as a compliment and love how it turned out.

Love of Leaves-4

These l last two cards I had already made using this bundle and DSP. I took a piece of Very Vanilla and found the center of the paper on the long side. I stamped leaves from top to bottom in the center of the paper. I then cut the paper in half which gave me two card fronts to work with. I used Crumb Cake as the card bases for the two cards then placed the Very Vanilla on Plaid Tidings Paper. I glued this onto my Crumb Cake card base and stamped a sentiment before punching out. I popped up the sentiment with dimensionals and decorated the cards with leaves I had cut from the DSP prior to adhering the Very Vanilla to it. I decorated using the In Good Taste wooden elements for the one on the left then used Holiday Rhinestones and Braided Linen Trim for the card on the right. These were so easy to make and so perfect to be able to make two cards with one set of stamping!
