World of Good-4

Sometimes masculine cards are hard to make but with this set it sure isn’t! This set is perfect for male or female and will make a variety of beautiful cards. The stamp set doesn’t actually have a “happy birthday” sentiment so I used a sentiment from A Wish for Everything stamp set. Beautiful World has so many other fun sentiments with gorgeous fonts and images though that you can’t go wrong with it.

I started with Crumb Cake as my card base then cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and ran it through the Old World Paper Embossing Folder. After embossing it, I used a sponge dauber to add some Cinnamon Cider ink to “age” the cardstock. I die cut the back of the globe from World of Good DSP and then cut the globe stand and outline of the globe in the new Brass Foil paper. I glued the globe outline to the DSP globe base. It turned out so pretty.  I also cut a piece of the brass foil at 3″ x 3″ and a piece of the DSP with brass access at 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″.  I adhered the DSP to the foil then added dimensionals on the back and placed on the upper part of the card.

Next I took a buckle and photo corners from the Antique Corners and Slides which is a part of this Suite and threaded the Cinnamon Cider ribbon through the slide then cut off the edges so that the piece of ribbon was about 1 3/4″ long and the slide was centered in the middle of it . I then cut a 1/2″ x 4″ piece of brass foil and attached a piece of Cinnamon Cider ribbon across the foil using Glue Dots on the back side of the card front to secure it in place. I then placed a glue dot on the back of the slide and placed it on top of the ribboned foil piece then glued the foil piece to the top of the card front just below the foil square. I also placed glue dots on two photo corners and placed them on opposite corners of the square. I stamped “Happy Birthday” in Cinnamon Cider ink on a piece of Whisper White Paper that measures 3/4″ x 1 3/4″.  I distressed it with the sponge dauber and Cinnamon Cider Ink then placed on the card using dimensionals. With everything else in place on my card front, I glued the globe stand onto the square then adhered the globe above it using dimensionals. I then glued the card front to the Crumb Cake Card base.

I absolutely love how it turned out!
