Connecting People Through Paper Creations
This Facebook Live was recorded Tuesday, February 2, 2021 and has very little editing.
For this Facebook Live, demonstrated four different alternatives to the January, 2020, Sending Hearts Paper Pumpkin. I had so much fun coming up with these alternatives and am so happy with every one of them!
For my first card I cut one of the card bases and used it as my card front which was then layered onto Misty Moonlight Cardstock and a Petal Pink card base. I stamped the heart cluster in Misty Moonlight on a Stitched Square of Basic White. I stamped “love” in Petal Pink Ink and fussy cut it out before then added it to the square using dimensionals. Once it is all put together it is so sweet and pretty! I love the blue and Petal Pink together!
For my second card I cut a 1-3/4″ piece of one of the Poppy Parade Card provided in the kit and build my card around that. I stamped heart clusters on Basic White before adhering the Poppy Parade Strip. The rest of the card is pretty self explanatory and easy. It is so pretty with black ribbon and embellishments!
I made this card a into a fun fold by cutting 2 1/2″ of the front of the card off. I used a large Stitched Rectangle to add the mailbox card which was provided in the kit. I stamped the heart/flower clusters on it using Poppy Parade. I also stamped a snail onto Basic White and demonstrated how to create an Ombre effect using Stampin’ Blends. So stinking’ adorable!!!
For the last project I made on the live, I created a box. I made these for my grandson and granddaughter and I love them! Of course they will have candy in them for Valentine’s Day! I used the Mailbox designs that were included in the kit and just cut them down. For the Poppy Parade box, I added an adorable snail to the box and stamped my sentiment on the white side of the provided tag rather than the Petal Pink. Measurements below.
These are a couple of cards I made prior to my live. I love how these turned out. The one on the left, I used the Heart Punches and punched out hearts from the card fronts then added a heart that was punched out from True Love DSP. I topped them off with adorable little bows. The one on the right is not much different than Stampin’ Up’s version except I added a panel of Poppy Parade tilted behind the pre-cut/stamped piece that is provided in the kit and stamped “XOXO” on the four corners in Poppy Parade.
I really enjoy making Paper Pumpkin Alternatives! I hope you will see what you can do with them as well!
