Connecting People Through Paper Creations
This Facebook Live was recorded Tuesday, January 26, 2021 and has very little editing.
For this Facebook Live, demonstrated four different ways to color the True Love Designer Series Paper. I had so much fun playing with this paper and with the different ways to color it!
For my first card I colored the flower cluster I had cut out from the True Love DSP. I used Pool Party Stampin’ Blends and the Light Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend for the flowers and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends for the leaves. I finished the flowers off using Wink of Stella on the petals. They turned out so pretty! I layered DSP onto Pool Party and Thick Whisper White. I also showed how to get a puffed out edge on your dies by flipping them upside down while still in the die and running a scoring tool around the inside perimeter of the die on the paper. I embellished the card using Elegant Faceted Gems. I love the effect!
For this card, I demonstrated how to water color these pretty flowers using Stampin’ Up’s Water Color Pencils and Blender Pen. I love the softness of these flowers and how fast and easy you can color them. I layered the DSP onto Basic Black then Coastal Cabana onto my Thick Whisper White card base. I embellished the card with Black Matte Dots.
This was a fun card to make. I pre-cut a heart from the Stitched Hearts Die set. I flipped it upside down and attached it to the card front using reposition able tape. I used Stampin’ Up’s new Blender Brush with Pretty Peacock ink and blended ink onto the card front. I then listed the heart ad placed dimensionals on the back of it and placed it over the brushed ink. I dyed Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon using the Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend and attached it to the card with a Heart Charm using Mini Glue Dots. I really like this one. It’s a great Valentine’s Day card for a man in my opinion!
This was a fun card too and may be my favorite of all of them although that is hard to call! I had pre-cut DSP using the Stitched Nested Labels as well as a coordinating Real Red die cut. I chose Real Red, Mango Melody and Garden Green to color these flowers. I used a sponge dauber and left white space to add to the interest of the card. I had stamped the sentiment from the Forever and Always Stamp set and cut it out. I layered this onto True Love DSP and a piece of Black Glitter Paper onto Thick Whisper White. I embellished it with Resin Hearts. I adore this pretty card. It is so interesting and pretty!
