This Facebook Live was recorded Tuesday, December 1, 2020 and has very little editing.

This month’s Paper Pumpkin, Jolly Gingerbread, is absolutely adorable. When I first got it I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to be able to do with it but I love every project I came up with!

Jolly Gingerbread PP Alt-1For this first project, I created a candy holder. I saw Rachel Tessman create this and I borrowed her design. I used a piece of Cinnamon Cider cut at 2 1/4″ x 5 3/8″. On the 2 1/4″ side, I scored it at 1/2″ on each side. I turned it to the 5 3/8″ side and scored it at 1 1/2″ on each side. Be sure to watch the video to see how I put it together. The box on the right is one I did before the FB Live. I cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider at 3 3/8″x 3 3/8″ and scored it at 1/2″ on all four sides. I created a box out of it then took two of the Gingerbread cut outs and glued them together using Tear and Tape and then slipped it over the box that had Tear and Tape Around the base. In hind side, I should have die cut holes out of the non-decorated sides to act as a window. My original thought was to create a tea light holder. With “windows” in the sides, it would allow the light to shine through. Regardless, I’m very happy with how it turned out!

I am so happy with how this card turned out. I cut the Gingerbread House in half (used the cut off half in a later project). I decorated the front by stamping with Cinnamon Cider ink. I embossed a piece of Pool Party with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I sprayed it with Frosted White Shimmer Spray then layered it on Whisper White and Early Espresso. I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party Ink. This is one of my favorites!

For this card, I went completely away from the Gingerbread House theme. I used one of the white die cut houses provided in the kit and cut a “doorway” out using the Tasteful Labels die. I fussy cut one of the dogs from the Playful Pets DSP as well as a dog bowl. I glued the dog in place and popped the dog house up using dimensionals. I used gold garland from the Most Wonderful Season Product Medley and a Jingle Bell Trinket to decorate the dog house. The sentiment came from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set. I layered all this onto a piece of In Good Taste DSP before layering onto Gray Granite and Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. This turned out so cute!!!

This last project is an ornament. I took one of the gingerbread houses then the other half I had cut off from a previous project. I cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock at 1″ x 3″ and scored it at 1/2″ on the 1″ side. I used tear and tape to join it together with the other sides creating a triangular ornament. I punched a hole in it then added Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon for hanging it to the tree. I decorated all three sides stamping it with Cinnamon Cider ink then adding the adorable candy embellishments. It’s a sweet little ornament for the tree. Love it!

This last card was made prior to the FB Live and via so one of my favorites. I used the Gingerbread House stamp provided in the Paper Pumpkin. I stamped it on Whisper White and colored it using Stampin’ Blends. I colored the roof using Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake. I used Crumb Cake for the body of the house, Soft Suede for the door, Calypso Coral for the stripes, hearts and accents and Daffodil Delight for the windows. I used Cinnamon Cider for and Mint Macaron for the chimney.  I then fussy cut the house and added dimensionals. I cut open one of the envelopes provided then used the Tailored Tag Punch to create a banner. I embossed Whisper White with the Brick and Mortar embossing folder then put it all together. I stamped the sentiment with Calypso Coral Ink using a sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. This is such a warm and happy Christmas card and not traditional Christmas colors at all!
