Celebration Goodie Bags

I had my Christmas in July event recently. One of the projects I had the participants make were goodie bags using Plaid Tidings DSP cut into large labels using Celebration Tidings Labels Dies. I provided them two Mosaic Gusseted Cellophane Bags from the new Mini Catalog and pretty decorations they could make then take home to fill their bag and top it off. These labels and the stamp set made such cute bag toppers. Here’s how I made them.

Everything Essential-1

I used the second largest Celebration Label Die and cut out labels using the Plaid Tidings DSP. These plaid papers are so colorful and interesting.

Celebration Label Dies-small

Next I chose coordinating Cardstock and cut labels using the second smallest label die. I then placed them on my scoring board and scored them at the halfway point, folded then burnished them for a nice crease.

Celebration Tidings Stamp

I used the Celebration Tidings Stamp set to create the tag sentiment that went on the front of the label.

Celebration Labels Sentiment

I inked my stamp with Garden Green then stamped off the image on scrap paper before stamping it on to a 3/4″ x 2″ piece of Whisper White. This gave a nice lighter image of greenery. On top of that I stamped “Merry Christmas” using Cherry Cobbler Ink. Then I used the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch to notch each end of the tag.

Celebration Tidings-Staple

I filled my bag with goodies then folded the top over once and placed the largest label over the top and stapled it in place. I did this first so that the next layer can hide the staple.

Celebration Tidings

To complete the look I glued the Cardstock label over the plaid label and attached the tag sentiment to the Cherry Cobbler Label. I had also die cut two sprigs from the Celebration Labels dies and tucked them underneath the label and finished the project by decorating with Red Rhinestones then attaching this to the tag to the label with dimensionals. I just love how easy this project is and how cute it turned out!

I created a “Fall” type bag to show the versatility of the stamp set but had the participants make bags for Christmas since it was a Christmas in July Event.
