So Sentimental Flower

I made a card with my team earlier this year that was so colorful and pretty. The design really showed off the patterned paper well and looked amazing. The way it was designed allowed you to show off the paper but have a nice big sentiment as well. They loved it and so did I. Since that paper was not available anymore, I decided to make another using a different type of paper and what I came up with was a color block pattern. One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up is their product coordination. Their patterned papers match their cardstock, ink and ribbons so that it is easy to create beautiful and cohesive projects without a lot of fuss.

So Sentimental Stamp Set

This stamp set I decided to use is So Sentimental Stamp Set. The fonts are so fun in this set.   It has some wonderful small to spacious sentiments in varied fonts.

So Sentimental-2

I chose Thick Whisper White for my card base with Night of Navy and Bumble Bee Cardstock for my card front (color blocks) and a piece of Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper that pull these three colors together. I also chose to use punches instead of dies along with Bumble Bee Ink Pad and Denim ribbon.

So Sentimental-3Before assembling my card, I punched a label out of the Bumble Bee Cardstock using my Label Me Lovely Punch. In thinking ahead and doing this, you are saving paper and no one will ever know since it will be covered with your DSP.

So Sentimental Color Block-4

Next I stamped my sentiment using Bumble Bee Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White then punched it out using the new Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. I then glued the sentiment in the center of the Bumble Bee Cardstock I had already punched and placed dimensionals on the back.

So Sentimental-1

I then glued the piece of DSP onto the center of the Bumble Bee Cardstock before gluing that piece onto the center of my Night of Navy Cardstock. which I then glued onto the front of my Thick Whisper White card base. Lastly I made a knot from the Denim Ribbon and placed it onto my card using a glue dot. I couldn’t be happier with this very simple but gorgeous card.
