This stamp set may be one of my favorites from the new catalog! I love most all green colors and I love greenery and foliage. I have recently discovered I have a green thumb and am so enjoying watching my pretty plants grow. This stamp set makes me feel happy. You can dress it up fancy or use it for simple stamping. I did a little of both on this FB Live.

Live Gold Card-1

For my first card I used a laser cut gold frame from the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper that is a part of the Forever Greenery Suite and layered it on top of a piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock. Before adhering the Gold Laser Cut Frame, I embossed the Soft Seafoam Cardstock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. After adhering the Gold frame to the Soft Seafoam, I then adhered this section to a piece of Just Jade Cardstock then adhered this entire portion to the Pretty Peacock card base.

Forever Greenery-Feature

At this point in the LIVE, I realized I had not cut the Soft Seafoam down to the proper sizes. The proper sizes will be listed below. I just went with it but determined to fix the card afterward.

Live Gold-3

See the example card next to the card I made on the LIVE to see how it should really look. At this point I punched a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock out with the Label Me Lovely Punch and stamped my sentiment using Just Jade Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out using the Label Me Fancy punch. I adhered the sentiment to the Pretty Peacock punched piece then glued gold die cut leaves and Soft Seafoam leaves I had cut prior to the video. In retrospect I could have easily used the leaves provided in the Forever Gold Laser Cut set. I guess it was an off night. I’ll tell you one thing that is not off and it’s this gorgeous card! I finished the card by adding a small ribbon piece from Forever Greenery Trim and Gilded Gems to fancy it up. I’m very pleased with how it turned out!

Split Design-1

For my second card, I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring at 5” x 7 ½”. On the 7 ½” side of the paper I measured 3 ¾” on the top and bottom and marked with a pencil.

Split Design-1Using these tic marks as a guide for the center, I then stamped the different leaf stamps using Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Just Jade and Granny Apple Green ink pads. When stamping I tried to match the design as much as possible up and down the middle of the paper.

Split Design-2 I stamped off a couple of times with the smallest stamp filling in places that looked like it needed and this varying colors which was nice. At this point the stamped piece just looks like a mess!

Split Design-3 Trimmer

Once I am finished stamping I bring in my trimmer and cut the cardstock in half at 3 ¾”.

Split Design-4

This gives me two fabulous cards. For one card I turned the paper to portrait with the design on the left side then stamped the “hello” sentiment on the bottom right of one card.  You will notice in the video that I stamped it crooked so I fixed it by stamping (many times!!!) on a ¾” of cardstock then cut it down to the size I wanted it. I put dimensionals on the back of the strip and covered up my boo boo.

Split Design Live-2For the second card I turned the cardstock to landscape with the stamped portion at the bottom then I stamped in Garden Green the sentiment “Thank You So Very Much” from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I felt like it had enough space that it needed a larger sentiment. It was a Murphy’s Law kind of night and I got ink on this one in places it shouldn’t have been so I simply added green Holiday Basic Rhinestone Jewels to it and it looks fabulous! Two really easy cards to make but so pretty!
