Beautifully Braided-2

For this card I wanted to have a colored background and then be able to simply stamp the image of the gingko leaves on the front of this card. It is a simple technique that turned out so colorful.  I love how the three colors blended together providing the perfect backdrop for this stamp set.

The sky is the limit when you have ink and sponge. There are a variety of background you can create by sponging ink on paper. This is one example of how it can be done although there are other techniques to sponge ink on backgrounds. All of the supplies and measurements are listed below. Measurements

  • Cut Pineapple Punch Cardstock at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 4 ¼”
  • Cut Basic Black at 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Cut Granny Apple Green at 3 ¾” x 5”
  • Cut Whisper White at 3 1/8” x 4 5/8”
  • Cut Whisper White at 4” x 5 ¼” (for inside)
